Sysstem®-K
Description
Sysstem-K is a foliar fertility combining potassium phosphite. Sysstem-K is designed for mid to late season use in a wide variety of crops to meet peak nutrient demand timing for potassium and to help mitigate heat stress. Proper nutrient balance is critical to maintaining overall plant health, proper physiologically development and maximizing yield. Applying Sysstem-K at proper physiological crop timing and/or ahead of heat events will aid in minimizing plant stress and promote maximum quality and yield.
Sysstem-K, due to its unique mobility and trans-locating ion, enhances nutrient uptake and mobility within the plant. Growing plants experience peak demand for potassium after the fruit cell division window has closed and the fruit bulking stage begins. At this point potassium demand increases dramatically. Applying “foliar” potassium early in the season during fruit cell division can negatively impact calcium incorporation into the fruit cell walls and have a detrimental effect on fruit quality and storage life.
Because Sysstem-K is phloem active, it provides potassium rapidly to fruit during the bulking stage. Potassium is also critical in developing fruit color, sugar and uniform maturation.

Directions For Use
Foliar: Apply 1 to 8 pints per acre with sufficient water for thorough coverage. Product can be applied at 7 to 14 day intervals for a maximum of 5 times during the growing season. Soil: Apply 1 to 5 quarts per acre. Product can be applied at 7 to 14 day intervals for a maximum of 5 times during the growing season. Can be band sprayed or metered into irrigation system. Product can also be applied as a soil drench on trees. Foliar fertilization is intended to supplement standard ground fertility programs and will not by itself provide all nutrients normally required by agricultural crops.
Suggested Uses
Tomatoes, Peppers, Cucumbers and Other Cucurbits
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application 30 days prior to first harvest. Repeat application in 14 days if necessary. Subsequent applications can be made throughout the harvest period at 14 day intervals as needed to improve fruit size, color, sugar and quality. Apply immediately prior to heat events to minimize crop stress.
Lettuce, Spinach and Other Leafy Vegetables as well as Broccoli, Cauliflower and Other Brassica Varieties
Apply 2 to 3 quarts per acre 10-20 days prior to harvest. Apply immediately prior to heat events to minimize crop stress.
Strawberries
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application 30 days prior to first picking. Repeat application in 14 days if necessary. Subsequent applications can be made throughout the harvest period at 10-14 day intervals as needed to improve fruit size, color, sugar and quality. Apply immediately prior to heat events to minimize crop stress.
Potatoes, Onions and Other Vegetable Root, Bulb or Tuber Crops
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application 20-30 days prior to harvest. Repeat application 10-14 days before harvest necessary. Apply immediately prior to heat events to minimize crop stress.
Almonds, Walnuts and Other Nut Crops
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application 30 days prior to harvest. Repeat application in 14 days if necessary.
Plums, Peaches, Cherries and Other Stone Fruits
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application 30 days prior to harvest. Repeat application in 14 days if necessary.
Apples, Pears and Other Pome Fruits
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application 30 days prior to harvest. Repeat application in 14 days if necessary. Subsequent applications can be made throughout the harvest period at 10-14 day intervals as needed to improve fruit size, color, sugar and quality.
Citrus and Avocados
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application 30 days prior to harvest. Repeat application in 14 days if necessary. Subsequent applications can be made throughout the harvest period at 10-14 day intervals as needed to improve fruit size, color, sugar and quality.
Grapes
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application at veraison. Repeat application in 14-20 days. Subsequent applications can be made after rains or if brix levels become
stuck. Apply immediately prior to heat events to minimize crop stress.
Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries and Other Caneberries
Apply 2 to 4 quarts per acre per application. Apply the first application 30 days prior to harvest. Repeat application in 14 days if necessary. Subsequent applications can be made throughout the harvest period at 10-14 day intervals as needed to improve fruit size, color, sugar and quality. Apply immediately prior to heat events to minimize crop stress.
Sugar Beets
Apply 2 to 4 pints per acre per application. Apply immediately prior to heat events to minimize crop stress. Apply first application at beginning at bulking stage. 14- 21 days later.
Application can be combined with most fungicide or insecticide applications, but a compatibility check is recommended.
Alfalfa and Hay Crops
Apply 1-2 quarts per application. Applications can be made in conjunction with most fungicide and insecticide treatments. Alternatively, applications can be made via center pivot irrigation
as along as sufficient foliage canopy is available. Minimize the amount of water applied to no more than ¼ inch and run center pivot at fast speed.
Dry Beans, String Beans and Peas
Apply 1 to 2 quarts. Apply post bloom. Applications can be made in conjunction with most fungicide and insecticide treatments.
